Reading a BetPro Statement Like an Accountant: One Real Month, Every Line Tied Out
Reconciling a BetPro statement means proving that closing balance + closing exposure = opening balance + opening exposure + deposits + bonus + net settlements − commission − withdrawals. In the real month below: PKR 0 opening + 15,000 deposits + 3,000 bonus + 3,140 net settlements − 412 commission − 12,000 withdrawals = PKR 8,728 — exactly the dashboard's PKR 7,228 balance plus PKR 1,500 exposure. The one line the user did not recognise was an unmatched bet that matched three days later — the most common 'mystery' on any statement.
- The identity: closing (balance + exposure) = opening + deposits + bonus + net settlements − commission − withdrawals.
- Real month: 47 settled markets, net +PKR 3,140; commission PKR 412 across 19 winning markets (2.5%).
- The 'mystery' settlement was an unmatched lay from the 8th that matched on the 11th — check Unmatched before every match.
- Fancy markets: 14 of 47 settlements, net −PKR 2,910. Match Odds: 28 settlements, net +PKR 5,860.
- Ten minutes a month; every 'balance is wrong' message the desk gets is answered by this arithmetic.
The month
A user on the desk agreed to have his August statement walked through here, with his name, username and wallet digits removed. He came to the desk on the 31st with two complaints: the balance was “about PKR 2,000 lower than it should be”, and there was a settlement on the 11th for a market he “never touched”. Both were answered by the statement in ten minutes, and the second one turned out to be the most common statement mystery there is. This post reproduces the walk, line type by line type, so you can do it on your own BetPro account.
The identity
Every statement obeys one equation:
Closing balance + closing exposure = opening balance + opening exposure + deposits + bonus + net settlements − commission − withdrawals.
If the equation ties, the statement is right and the balance is right. If it does not, the gap is one line, and that line is what you send the desk. Everything below is filling in the terms.
Opening position (1 August)
New account. Opening balance PKR 0, opening exposure PKR 0.
Deposits and bonus
| Date | Line | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| 1 Aug | Deposit (Easypaisa, sender name matched) | +10,000 |
| 1 Aug | First-deposit bonus 30% | +3,000 |
| 18 Aug | Deposit (Easypaisa) | +5,000 |
Deposits: PKR 15,000. Bonus: PKR 3,000 — wait. The desk’s bonus on a PKR 10,000 first deposit is PKR 3,000, and the statement showed PKR 1,500. The user had not noticed; the desk had under-credited the bonus by half on day one. Corrected on the spot with a PKR 1,500 adjustment line dated 31 August. For the reconciliation below we use the corrected total: bonus PKR 3,000, of which PKR 1,500 arrived as an adjustment. This is the first thing a reconciliation finds: the desk’s mistakes, not just the user’s.
Settlements — 47 lines
The settlement column is one line per settled market, net of all bets on that market. August’s 47 lines:
| Market type | Settlements | Won | Lost | Net |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Match Odds | 28 | 15 | 13 | +5,860 |
| Session (overs runs) | 5 | 2 | 3 | +190 |
| Fancy (player runs, wickets) | 14 | 2 | 12 | −2,910 |
| All | 47 | 19 | 28 | +3,140 |
Net settlements: +PKR 3,140. The user’s month was a good Match Odds month and a bad fancy month — a pattern the desk sees on most statements it reads, and one the user had not seen because he watched the balance, not the column.
The line he did not recognise
11 August, fancy market, a lay on a batter’s runs line, settled as a loss of PKR 1,100. He was certain he had not bet that match. He had — on the 8th, in a different match’s fancy market with the same batter, at a price that was not available. The bet sat in Unmatched. On the 11th the batter played again, the market for that innings opened at his requested price, and the platform matched it. It settled three days after he had forgotten it.
This is the single most common statement mystery on the desk. The fix is a habit: open Unmatched before every match and cancel what you no longer want. The statement guide explains the three My Bets tabs.
Commission — 19 lines
Commission is charged on net winnings per market, on winning markets only, as a separate line under each. Nineteen winning markets, 2.5% of each market’s net win:
| Winning markets | 19 |
| Gross winnings on those markets | PKR 16,480 |
| Commission at 2.5% | PKR 412 |
The user’s “PKR 2,000 lower than it should be” was this PKR 412 plus the PKR 1,500 missing bonus, plus the PKR 1,100 unmatched lay he had not counted — PKR 3,012, close enough to his estimate that it was clearly the same money. Three lines, three explanations.
Withdrawals — 2 lines
| Date | Line | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| 12 Aug | Withdrawal (Easypaisa, same name) | −7,000 |
| 26 Aug | Withdrawal (Easypaisa, same name) | −5,000 |
Withdrawals: PKR 12,000. Both matched credits in his Easypaisa history within the hour.
The reconciliation
| Term | Amount |
|---|---|
| Opening balance + exposure | 0 |
| + Deposits | 15,000 |
| + Bonus (incl. the 1,500 correction) | 3,000 |
| + Net settlements | 3,140 |
| − Commission | 412 |
| − Withdrawals | 12,000 |
| = Closing balance + exposure | 8,728 |
Dashboard on 31 August after the correction: balance PKR 7,228, exposure PKR 1,500 (one open Match Odds back). 7,228 + 1,500 = 8,728. Tied to the rupee.
What the column said about his month
Beyond tying out, the statement told him three things his balance never could. He placed 47 bets in a month — more than he thought. His Match Odds betting was profitable and his fancy betting was not, by a margin that swallowed most of the Match Odds profit. And his largest single loss was the forgotten unmatched lay. His September plan, written on the 31st: Match Odds only for a month, Unmatched checked before every match, and a look at the limits page to understand why that lay had counted PKR 1,100 against exposure the whole time it sat there.
The ten-minute monthly routine
- Open the statement for the month and your wallet’s history side by side.
- Tick deposits against wallet transfers out. Missing line → send the transaction ID.
- Tick withdrawals against wallet transfers in. Missing credit → send the reference.
- Sum settlements and commission by market type.
- Run the identity. A gap is one line — send that line.
The desk’s mistakes (like the half-bonus) show up here, and so do yours.
Two more months, briefly
September, same user. Match Odds only, by his own rule. 31 settlements, net +PKR 2,480; commission PKR 305; no unmatched surprises because he checked the tab before every match; one deposit, one withdrawal; tied on the first pass. The statement was shorter and the month was better, which is not a coincidence.
A different user, August. Came to the desk with “my balance disappeared”. The statement showed eleven Aviator rounds settled in nine minutes at 11:50 p.m., all losses, PKR 4,400 in total — placed by him, on a night he did not remember clearly. Nothing was wrong with the statement. The desk set a deposit cap at his request the next morning; the responsible play page has the tools. Reconciliation finds the desk’s mistakes and the user’s, and sometimes the second kind is the more useful finding.
Statement, accountant ki tarah — Roman Urdu
Ek equation: closing (balance + exposure) = opening + deposits + bonus + net settlements − commission − withdrawals. August ka asli mahina: deposits 15,000, bonus 3,000 (jis mein se 1,500 desk ne ghalti se nahi diya tha — reconciliation ne pakra, usi din theek hua), 47 settlements net +3,140 (Match Odds +5,860, fancy −2,910), commission 412 (19 jeetne wali markets par 2.5%), withdrawals 12,000. Natija 8,728 = dashboard ka 7,228 balance + 1,500 exposure. Jo settlement user ko yaad nahi thi wo 8 tareekh ki unmatched lay thi jo 11 ko match hui — har match se pehle Unmatched dekhein. Column ne bataya ke fancy ne Match Odds ka munafa kha liya. Das minute mahine mein.
